The District Emyooga task force has embarked on the monitoring the activities of the various Emyooga associations across the District.
The taskforce headed by the Resident District Commissioner Hajji Nsereko Mutumba, monitored Emyooga SACCOs in the three constituencies of Ntenjeru South, Ntenjeru North and Bbaale meeting the various beneficiary associations.
Kayunga District Council has approved its budget estimates for the Financial Year 2022/2023 totaling to shillings 47,280,346,849 of which Shs 44,072,907,946 is expected from the Central government, Shs 1,212,330,332 as other government transfers, Shs 862,000,000 as locally generated revenue and shs 1,212,330,332 from donors.
While presenting the budget estimates the Secretary for Finance Hon.Oyeyo Moses explained that 90% of the budget will be funded from the central government releases.
Kayunga District Local Government has laid its budget for the Financial Year 2022/ 2023 in accordance to Article 190, of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, Section 77(i) of the Local Government Act and Section 13 of the Public Finance Management Act which requires the Chairperson of a Local Council to cause the preparation of a proposed annual Budget.
