Kayunga District Local Government council on 13th October, 2022 unanimously approved Kiira Motors ECO-ECO Automotive Industrial and Technological Park (AITP) Master Plan.

The Rt Hon. Prime Minister of Uganda Hon.Nabanjja Robinah yesterday visited Kayunga District purposely for a fact findinding mission about what was happening at Isimba Hydro power station and Kayunga Regional Referral hospital to establish facts on what was happening and to meet District leaders. She was accompanied by the State Minister for Education Hon.J.C. Muyingo, State Minister for Luwero Rwenzori Region Hon.Alice Kaboyo and State Minister for Finance and Planning Hon. Amos Lugolobi, District Chairperson Mr. Muwonge Andrew, DRDC Mr.Mawerere Peter, CAO Mr.
The Uganda Sanitation for Health (USHA) donated 3 motorcycles to Kayunga District to help Health Assistants in the monitoring of WASH activities and hygiene and sanitation in the district.
The motorcycles were handed over to the District Chairperson Mr. Muwonge Andrew who also handed them over to the Health Assistants of Kangulumira, Kitimbwa and Nazigo Sub counties where USHA is implementing its activities.
